KEMU ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL 2011

151st Annual Sports

11th March onwards

King Edward Medical University KEMU  organizes its ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL
in march every year. It is one of the mega events organized in the university.
This sports event is being organized since 1860 the year this medical institute
was established. Almost all the sports are played durning this festival.

Different kind of games including indoor and outdoor games are organized. Many
different tournments and competitions are held durning this festival.

 

ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL 2011

This year on 151st Sports Event is starting on 11th March, 2011. This event will
continue till the end of March and start of April including

 

1.Funfair 2011

Funfair includes stalls of various types owned by medical students of 5 years
studying in the university. Every stall is decorated and variety of things are
in the stalls and various activites are held  just for the sake of fun and
enjoyment.
 
2. Sports Day ’11 and Colour Day 2011

This day is celebrated for various events and many races occur including
· 200 m races for Boys and Girls
· 400 m races for boys and girls
· 800 m Ralley races for boys
· 400 m Mixed Ralley races
  Prize distribution is also done for the past events.

3. Gymkhana Events

Various athletic competitions are  held and prize distribution is also done.
Every class of students also present a skit / stage show. A Chief Guest is also
invited usually some political personality.
Last year Wife of  PM Yousaf Raza Gilani and Nassem Hameed, best female athelete
of Pakistan.

4.Theme Day

Every class is alloted a Stall and they collectively decorate it following a
THEME,
basically a Theme competition ……

5.Bedminton Tournment


6.Kemcolian Cricket League

A complete event of many days including Day and Night Matches in various grounds
of university and boys hostel.

7.Kemcolian Football Tournment

8.Inter collegiate Cricket tournment

9.Inter collegiate Football Tournment

Various universities and colleges of lahore are invited for cricket and football
tournments. Flood Light Tournments are organized in the main ground  of KEMU.

10.Indoor games

·Chess competitions

· Carrom board competitions

· Dart competitions

Healthy participation from boys and girls occur in these games / competitions.
